There were a lot of Tate fans on goodreads Q&A today with Jeaniene. She said the following about Tate:

Q: Is Tate going to get his own HEA? Obviously Cat only has eyes for Bones, but I really want Tate to find happiness!

I want Tate to find happiness, too. But he can also be his own worst enemy. If Tate can let go of his hang-ups and move on, I have hope for him in the future. If not, well…

This is random, but do we know how tall is Tate? He is described as muscular, with short brown hair, and blue eyes, but I can't remember if his height is ever mentioned...

I never thought I'd say this, but I'm finding myself liking Tate a little bit more now I know, I know! I couldn't stand him for the longest time, but I'm slowly (very slowly) not hating him so much now. Maybe it's because he isn't in the books as much or maybe it's because I feel like he isn't trying so hard for Cat anymore. And I may be thinking that because I haven't done a re-read of the latest book in a while

I never hated Tate when he acted the way he did in book 2,3,4 but I felt sorry for him because of his desperation and love for Cat it made him seem like a lovesick puppy to everyone else and he isn't really like that.After we got a glimpse at his backstory in TSOTG I respected him for holding out all those years as an orphan and joining the military and making something of himself and in all fairness if he'd met Cat before Bones did there was a good chance that she might have developed feelings for him other than fraternal.

On the other hand I'm glad he accepted Cat's relationship with Bones even though my heart goes out for him because it's obvious he still loves her and really could it be fair that we question whether it's real love he feels when we've met at least a couple of women who are in love with Bones?

That's the only reason I didn't like Tate (or Annette) because they couldn't accept that Cat and Bones were going to be together no matter what they did or said. I think Tate finally understands that and it breaks my heart as well that his love goes unrequited. Having been the victim of unrequited love a time or two myself, I know it sucks and I feel for him. But, Tate is going to find a woman that blows his mind, and then, he will finally be over Cat and he can be happy. Yay!

After all that Tate's been through in such a short time [2 years!] I think he deserves who would love him just as much as he loves her but we know that could never happen cuz again Peanet Butter Girl was in love with Bones for 200+ years so.....Who knows but maybe Tate's different,can't wait to see where Jeaniene will take his character

My heart broke for him when Cat just couldn't return his love... on the other side I was sadistically happy when Bones got all jealous-
God, I LOVED these scenes. I like it when anyone gets jealous, thats cute and always ends up in a heart-touching scene. And Tate is/was always
jealous which makes me love his character a lot more.

I kind of think that, the longer Tate and Bones are forced to sort of circle around each other in Cat's little nucleus, they are getting to - if not like - at least respect each other a bit more. Sure, they will keep jabbing at each other verbally, like Vlad and Bones, but I think their trust in each other is growing. Maybe not their like in each other, but Tate's respect for Bone's skills as a Master vamp, and Bone's reliance on Tate's cool head in a crisis.
