Well, I did hear that song Damaged and I thought back to when Cat and Bones met the first time and Cat was still hurt over what that jerk did to her. I could totally image her saying to Bones,
"Baby, this situation's driving me crazy
And I really wanna be your lady
But the one before you left me so
Damaged, Damaged
I thought that I should let you know
That my heart is Damaged" -Danity Kane's song Damaged.
what do you think? :?:

Fall to Pieces by Velvet Revolver reminds me of that oh so horrific time when Bones and Cat were seperated...

Okay - so, I listened to that song and it felt like an "ah-ha!" moment connecting it to that scene... it fits so perfectly! I love it - and can totally imagine them dancing to this... *sigh* Love it.

For me a song that totally reminded me of a scene in the book is Damaged by danity kane.

in the book httg when cat is starting to like bones more espcailly after the grave/ghost scene this song would totally fit! because her heart was broken by danny and its damaged and she needs bones to fix it for her. what do you think?

Ok, I think I have all the songs from this thread. I will add them to the playlists for the book club under "Eulogies from the dead" section since there aren't that many. The only ones I won't add are the books we haven't gotten to yet. Here is the list I found. Hopefully this is all...

Usher – Love In The Club (when they are dancing at the club)

Fergi - Big Girls Don’t Cry (reminds me of the ending HTTG when it is the last time that Cat sees Bones)

Danity Kane - Damaged.( when Cat and Bones met the first time and Cat was still hurt over what that jerk did to her. I could totally image her saying to Bones)

Velvet Revolver - Fall to Pieces (reminds me of that oh so horrific time when Bones and Cat were separated)

Jeaniene’s Pics

HTTG:
Don't Fear the Reaper, by Blue Oyster Cult
In The Air Tonight, the remake by Nonpoint
Name of the Game, by Crystal Method
The Space Between, by The Dave Matthews Band
Fear, by Sarah McLachlan
Fix You, by Coldplay
Dragula, by Rob Zombie
Hero of the Day, by Metallica, the S&M version with the orchestra (this song is the song that best describes Halfway to the Grave for me. Why? Because it starts out slower, almost poignant, and then builds to a defiant roar. Plus, to me, the lyrics are compatible for Cat's view of her world and circumstances at that time. Every time I hear this song, I think of HTTG)

OFITG:
Stand Inside Your Love, by Smashing Pumpkins. Again, it starts out a slower, but builds until everything is bashing together. It's not a laid-back love song, so I think it fits well with the tone of the book. The lyrics are also very compatible for Bones's mindset during the novel.
Oh, and the song *I* imagined during that dance scene in OFITG with Cat and Bones is
Love Song , the remake by 311

AGE:
For AT GRAVE'S END, there are several songs I've been listening to as I finish revisions, but one song that's stuck with me ever since I began writing it is:
Now We Are Free, by Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard (in case you're saying, "Huh?", it's the song that played at the end of the movie GLADIATOR). To me, it's perfect for the final climatic scene of the book. I've listened to it over and over while writing AT GRAVE'S END.
Bones or Vlad- tough decision...I'll take them both! LOL

Thanks UAP, I was just thinking I wanted to look up the music that inspired Jeaniene's writing last night. Perfect timing! :)

I love seeing the authors playlist.

There are several song i see for AGE and DFAEG, but I guess the first I ever saw fitting a scene is March of the dead from Eyes set to kill, for obviously when the "zombies" attack them.

The whole song fits, but for example:

"There's no surrender till the dust has settled here", "The dead is in the march they're soldiers spreading fear, in the beginning of the end is nowhere near","Bring on the dead, we will see victory, earth soaked in red, fight through the sunrise" or "Their bones are cracking through their skin, but they keep on fighting"
"Once you go dead, no one's better in bed!" Cat, One foot in the grave

I've got my mouth, it's a weapon, it's a bombshell, it's a cannon. I've got my words, I won't give them mercy.

There's evil in your heart, and it wants out to play.
