Can Cat get pregnant?

Cat is half dead, half alive.

Is she able to get pregnant? If she were with a human..

That's a really good question, which I never thought off. Personally I don't think she can cause she's not aging and she can't get sick, but it would be so sweet if there was like a little Cat running around. haha =]

I agree about not aging. And since she is half dead she really shouldnt.
But she is getting her periods tho...

I feel like the period thing though is just because her heart still beats. But then again she is the only half breed theres ever been that we know of, unless jeaniene is gonna suprise with another...

oh, good you brought it up
That was gonna be one of my next questions.
If there have been more half breeds, and if so, how many?
I have a feeling there have been. not many, probabally few at best, but... somehow I got overall expression Cat is not the first..

(Jeaniene will probabally tell us it will be in book 3 or 4 and we just have to wait and see..)

So, Jeaniene, how's my psychic powers? :D

I don't know if there have been many half breeds if any at all. Cause then the older Vampires would pick out what made Cat differnet. I think I remember Bones saying something about how he could smell Vampire on her in the first book. I have a feeling though that half breeds of vampire and human are rare. And I can't imagine there being a half vamp half ghoul, but I'm not sure.

well, thats what I ment, its very rare, but I think there has been at least one, maybe even two.. throughout thousends of years..
Every vamp is shocked to see one, but they seem to accept it pretty fast

Yeah you're right they do accept it pretty fast. Prehaps in another time half breeds used to rule along next to Vamps like in the 1300s or something. But in order for the Vamps to be suprised about Cat they couldn't have been around for a previous half breed, cause I don't think Vamps forget things. Which raises the question how old is the oldest Vamp?

Can Cat get pregnant? Funny you ask, this question is answered in an internal monologue of Cat's during Chapter Two of AT GRAVE'S END :). But here you go: It's feasible, since Cat still does ovulate (hence her period) that she could get pregnant and carry to term. But she couldn't get pregnant with Bones or any other vampire, so she'd have to either (a) get artificially inseminated, or (b) get pregnant the old-fashioned way with another man - and I think you guys can guess the likelihood of "b" ever happening *cough, not!!! cough*.
