I loved Vlad and had no problams with him at all even from when he first showed up. My husband and I have done a bit of research on the real Vlad, because my husbands family lived in that region when Vlad was alive. Soon after his death they became gypsy's so we wanted to know why they would abandon thier country after the death. Having said that I think the Vlad you have portrait is the right description.

That is kick-ass cool. I don't think I can trace my roots back that far. I think I'm a bit of everything though. ;D

I can trace most of my family back pretty far too. I think I had relatives that were slightly ocd in making sure that they new who they had been previously related to.

Dracula is what got me started on vampires and I loved being able to read about him in my favorite series. It was like a dream come true *goes off into dream land and thinks about Vald*

Acutally it was Angel in the Buffy sieres that got me into Vamps, then i started looking into other vamps and of course Vlad (Dracula) was there too, and can I join you in dream land? (drifts off in a great daydream that includes Vald....and Bones) :P

You know, I've always just had a thing for the vamps and witches and whatnot. I've never had a problem picking up a book with one it in, but the first one I remember is Forever in the Night by Linda Lael Miller. I love Aiden!

I like Vlad wouldn't mind seeing him (well reading about him) around Cat just to antagonize Bones. And of course make him jealous.I see him as a very good friend to Cat.

I have to agree with that. I can see them as good friends as well and it's apparent that it WILL make bones jealous....I loved it when her and Vlad were talking and he had told her that he'd never have let her jump and bones walks into the kitchen and looks at Cat and says " Blimey, kitten, don't tell me you like that conceited sod?" and she answers by saying " yeah, I kind of do " I absolutely LOVED that part.

I agree! I would love to see Vlad get his own book, and replace Tate as her best friend.

Oh and I love how sassy he is with Bones. Not many get under Bones skin like that. I also would love to see you give him his own book.

Here I am, maybe the only person who knows nothing of Bram Stoker's Dracula!! :o

Yes of course I know of him and all, but growing up I was too chicken to watch scary movies and for some reason the black and white vampire stories held no appeal for me. I've never even researched into the stories. So for me Vlad is just that... Vlad. Making a reference to the famous Dracula was entertaining to me, especially since I had recently read a short story by Charlaine Harris involving Dracula. I think it's cool to see how good authors can take something that already existed and make it better/their own like Jeaniene. As a character I enjoyed his way of cutting through to Cat's jokes as well as how he saved her from jumping. Making her realize she was choosing to be human or vampire on the cliff.

Yes I would like to see more of him but oddly enough I am not to concerned with his history. Part of me feels like Bones may have a problem with him but that it doesn't root to anything too serious.... maybe I'm crazy??Sometimes people just annoy the h#ll out of us right? If Mencheres holds him in high regard, and he has now saved Cat, I can't imagine him as a bad seed.
