Very true Wildchild.... hmm maybe instead of writing it - consultation and final approval.

As much as I would love to see NH brought to the big screen (or little one for that matter) so that more people might enjoy this wonderful story, I'm not sure any visual representation of these books would satisfy die-hard fans like us. I'm hard pressed to think of any beloved book that was made into a movie or TV show that does the written material justice. Some come very close, but there is something about a book, the details therein, that just make it so very special. That being said, it would be a wonderful thing for Jeaniene, and I would be happy about that.

But for now, I'm very content to have my books, and the anticipation of the future books and continuing story... and of course, the images in my head...

Personally, I hope they're never made into a movie Delilah. Since I have never yet seen a movie made from a book that didn't screw it up (although I'm told The Lord of the Rings didn't - haven't seen them) I think I rather keep the NH books to the movie that rolls in my head when I read them.

Does look like a jinx trader!! I was thinking about this and they can't even get the original Dracula story correct!! They get the right names but from there it veers very sharply from what Bram Stoker wrote. And don't get me started on Twilight and combining characters just to be lazy with the casting (IMHO)!! Okay, as mentioned in another thread maybe we do need to start a "Bashing the Twilight Movies" thread!!

Besides - would they EVER find an actor for Bones or actress for Cat we could all agree on? Doubtful. I'll mention another movie they screwed up - Relic. They combined Pendergast and D'Agagosta (spelled that wrong I'm pretty sure).

I really hope they will NEVER be a movie or TV show - I love the books and I have a very vivacious imagination, no reason to spoil that with a movie... :snooty:

Even if they make one, I don't know if I want to see it... after I saw TW I never could go back to the beautiful images in my head.

Ah, I love you ladies! Selecting characters are one thing, but I just don't think a movie or tv series can get all the details out there that we get in a book. I'm been thinking about this all morning, trying to think of a good treatment of a book turned into a movie. I'm probably going off-topic a little here :shhh: but one that comes to mind is Gone with The Wind. Great movie, excellent actors fitting their parts, but yet, the book has so much more. And even though I saw the movie before reading the book, I still say the book is better, and would take that any day of the week if I had to choose. There are always scenes that need to be eliminated, parts that are cut and merged, it's the book that tells the real story.

AMEN!

Instead of a movie- I'd love to have even more books and short stories about different characters from the NH world...
