 At our house me being in a good book usually means pancakes, hot dogs, or cereal for dinner. I might not get any parenting awards, but my kids think I am so cool when they get those things!

So true!
Chocolate-chip pancakes and scrambled eggs have saved my butt, dinner-wise at least, on many occassions. So nice to know it's not just me. :D

My husband reads almost as much as I do, but mainly crime novels and more "serious" books (I read both of those categories too). I`ve tried to get him to read the SVM-books, but gave up and never tried the NH-books as the covers make him laugh when I read them. But he did read one of the SVM fanfics I wrote (it contained a lot of football which got him intrigued) and he liked it, but he is just not into reading anything remotely romantic. Which is actually strange since he is way more romantic than I have ever been.

I don`t mind having something to myself, though. I know it would be a killer to have him read the books I love and question them to pieces.

I have a common law husband (me and the bf have been together for 9 years!!) ;) Anyways.... he reads, but he makes fun of me for the kind of books I read. He's all about poetry (e.e. cummings, Robert Frost, t.s. eliot etc.) and Kurt Vonnegut (which I love) so our reading material highly differs. He doesn't see the point in any romantical reading so he's not allowed to comment on the stuff I read anymore ;) To each their own right!?!

I had to make this the law in my house as well! Mine reads Military History book, especially the Civil War and WWII. Oh and The Hockey News faithfully! He reads very slowly taking in every word so it might take him a month or more to get through one book. He jokes about "what vampire book are you reading now?" and will roll the eyes a little but then laughs. The covers do make him laugh but getting my e-reader solved that!

No, I'm the only reader. My hubby will ask what I'm laughing at while I read, but then he doesn't want to hear about so I tell him "nothing".

@drea- I hear you!! It got to the point where whenever he said something about it I was ready to jump him (and not in a good way ;)) He asks me that all the time so now when I'm not reading a vamp book, I always feel the need to rubit in his face and let him know that it's not one :)

@wendy- Whenever I laugh at something, he'd say "What's so funny?" I just say, "Nothing, you wouldn't understand it anyway" Ha! It's weird that they aren't interested in it but at the same time want to know!
