But she captured everything greatly. She meaning Jeaniene. She can write that and not all authors do so, Jeaniene did a good job.

I think what happened with Randy is what makes Denise the woman she's going to be in Spade's book. The experiences she goes through in AGE and DFAEG will make her strong enough to endure what is apparently going to happen with her in FDOC with the demons and all.

I agree... Spade's book couldn't even exist if Denise hadn't gone through all that in AGE... it really couldn't have gone any other way without totally upheaving the books... she couldn't be with Spade if she was married and we couldn't have got that awesome beginning to One Foot In The Grave if Denise hadn't gotten married ;) .

And can anyone say they aren't desperatly waiting for FDOC? 8-)

The scene that affected me to the point that I had to lock myself in the bathroom so my kids wouldn't think I was crazy from crying was when Cat was in the bedroom by herself with the wooden box. It was when she read the back of the picture of her sleeping that made me cry the most. "I took this one morning. You looked so lovely I couldn't resist. It makes me smile even now to imagine you blushing as you see it." (Bones)

Did you happen to see the deleted scene where Bones finds out about Cat's thoughts on the cliff? Oh my!

One of my favorite scenes in At Graves End is when Cat is taking on each vamp that wants to leave Bones' line after his supposed death. I loved how Cat could finally get her frustration out as she sliced through each vamp contender for his own line. None were left standing. So Cat. Momentary grief relieved.

Don't try to get out of this. We'll see if you love me when I pay you back.
Even then I will love you, Bones called out as I stomped away. Even then." OFITG, Chapter 27.

I have a real hard time picking out "favorite parts" of Jeaniene's books - my favorite part would be the whole thing!! That said, some of the things I really liked were:

1. Cat's reaction to Justina at the Christmas Party. You can almost hear the rest of that thought - "Who are you and what have you done with my mother?"

2. Cat thinking Bones was a dream when he came back. She's going through all this grief, takes pills to finally get some sleep, and he comes back. I would have thought it a dream myself and the reaction when she finds it isn't is so real.

3. Her telling Bones that he should have given her Rattler since she gave him Max. She was telling Bones even then that there needed to be some kind of equality in their relationship, even if she was only half-vampire. He totally ignored her need to punish Rattler to show what would happen to anyone threatening Bones, as he had done with Max.
I never argue with anyone with as many sharp teeth as you've got.

Mine would be when she finds out Bones is "dead". That was so well written. And I love the proposal, too (Book 5=Wedding? I hope so^^)

I have been holding off on answering this one. It is hard for me to pick out my favorite, because there is so much to choose from. But the easy answer is when Bones returns from the dead, yeah all happy happy.

My honest to God Favorite is when Cat is on top of the Mountain looking down. For the first time in the entire series Cat looks into herself and actually aknowledges her feelings. She is forced, with the help of Vlad, to see who she really is. After 2 1/2 books I was frustrated with her denying her feelings and holding on to the prejudices that Justina instilled in her and finally embraces who she is and not what is expected of her. She then holds on to that to honor Bones at the assembly where she is named as head of Bones's line. She takes on the challangers and is able to release some of her hurt and anger through the violence, but is able to keep a level head when Patra appears. At this time Cat is her strongest for having to be what she is and embraces her vampire side. A side that Bones's has been trying to get her to aknowledge and embrace. It is sad that he was not there to witness it. But very powerful as it happens.
