Javfaa, I sort of thought that Tate did it because he was the leader and leaders go first. He may have had other reasoning that Cat alluded to, but in the end I sort of chalked it up to him not wanting his men to have to face something he wasn't willing to. I will say this, he is a very good military leader. :)

Would any one be for Tate getting his own book, so we can learn more about him. I know I hate him; my daughter would scold me; she says Mommy hate is a bad word, so I'll say I strongly dislike him. My husband understands him, guy thing. Many others like him and wish for an HEA for him before Bones makes him toast ;) ;) ;) (just speculation).

What do you all think? ;) ;) ;)

I really want to learn more about his motivations, but would probably not be interested in an entire book about him. Make sense? ;)

Maybe I could stomach a short story. ;)

If Jeaniene wrote one, I would read it. I really don't like Tate, but I have to admit there are moments I feel sorry for him because it sucks to care for someone when you know they are happy without you, no matter who you are that hurts, so I can understand him a little. But as for the pissing contests, I can't stand him. He hurts Cat more than he helps her most of the time, which pisses Bones off, which in turn, pisses me off :) But, as I said, I would read it if she wrote it. It would be interesting to hear his thoughts and such.

Those were my thoughts too eng. That and he wouldn't back down to Bones after mentioning it because of his pride, but most of all he did it for his men. No doubt he was afraid though. It broke my heart when he freaked out because Cat was watching him destroy blood bags and begged her to leave. I think that's the only time I truly pitied him though.

I agree. I think a short story would be the way to go if there was ever going to be one about him.

I felt bad for him also because I think at first his protective instinct kicked in as well. I think, like Annette, he has a warped sense of loyalty and protection for Cat. I think HE THINKS Bones is no good and will either eventually leave Cat or Cat will "wake-up" and see Bones the way Tate sees him and will leave. It's tough when you are stubborn and tenacious and misjudged a situation.

I could definitely see him thinking that way. His leader instincts make him protective and since he has feelings for Cat, they are almost unconsciously directed towards her. It's habit by now. I think Tate's foot will be shoved in his mouth for him in book 5 though. So far that he chokes on it. His protectiveness is nice and good but once it intervenes with Bones protecting Cat...all hell breaks loose. I could see a fight between the two of them that Cat would have to break up. There are times I wouldn't want her to break it up though...like after Tate took the "Cat is my girlfriend for a night" thing too far. Fool got caught with his pants down...almost. That's what makes me not like him.
