Jeaniene: Even though this was cut from the book, should we assume this scene took place off page?
Mencheres' chest, arms, and stomach were corded with an intricate pattern of muscles...his legs were as deliciously sculpted as the rest of him.

Jeaniene: We know how much Bones wants to marry Cat, and, it seems at every opportunity he pronounces her as his wife. When they finally have that big showy wedding that has only been hinted at, will Bones wear a wedding ring? Do vampires normally wear wedding rings? ;)

Ha, you're trying to get me to say whether or not Cat & Bones will eventually have a big showy wedding, aren't you? But never underestimate the cruelty of Evil Author! Which means, I'm not answering if there will ever be a big wedding or not

As for the question of vampires wearing wedding rings, Bones has considered himself married since OFITG, yet he has never worn a ring. Nor did Mencheres wear a ring when he was still married to Patra. Newer vamps might still wear rings, but older ones usually don't because only one type of marriage counts for them, and it's not the ring-ceremony one.

Thank you for trying wont. But as you have earned the title of Evil Teaser, Jeaniene is the Master Evil Aurthor.

I think a symboloic tattoo would go a long way instead of a ring. Not names or anything (I hate people having names tattooed onto themselves, it seems like a sign of ownership to me) but something cool....

Like a cat, though that could be effeminate for Bones....maybe bright green cat eyes, it'd be like an in-joke. Vamp green and cat eyes for cat! And I think it'd work on Bones too!

This sounds like the Bones I know. Turning himself inside out to please Cat. In AGE he was the one who suggested they have a "fancy show" of a wedding. He wanted her to have something that felt real. And of course it would also broadcast their marriage to the world. :D

Re: A Wedding For Cat and Bones

Jeaniene doesn't want to spoil it for us, but I feel Bones and Cat will finally have their showy wedding in Book 5. In Book 4, they went through so much hell; a little heaven for them would be nice. Wouldn't it be amazing if Cat's father, Max by some miracle escaped and crashed the wedding just as the minister/undead official asked if anyone objected. Then, Cat with her new powers kills him in some gruesome way. That would be a wedding present Cat could appreciate her whole undead existence.
"I love you, Kitten.
Don't try to get out of this. We'll see if you love me when I pay you back.
Even then I will love you, Bones called out as I stomped away. Even then." OFITG, Chapter 27.
