Denise shapeshifter/demon, but......

First, I loved the book!!!!! Spade and Denise are a great couple, I will be happy to get a glimpse of the happy couple in the upcoming books.
I was hoping Denise would have eventually become a vampire since my poor brain could deal with that better. Now I find myself concerned about the permanent brands:
- will Denise always have to wear gloves to cover the brands, in order to not be discovered
- with her blood, Spade and Denise will always be worried about the next evil that wants to own her
- now Spade cannot feed from Denise and must be very careful when he bites her.
I have way too much time on my hands.

I dont think the brands are such a big deal since demons are very rare... no vamp rele knows the source of red dragon ... and no vamp also knows the brands signify that they got red dragon blood... so she could just simply have tattoos
or denise could shape shift and eat whoever figures it out

I looked at the interview, but it doesn't seem like the questions were answered directly. This is what I think.

1.Will Denise always have to wear gloves to cover the brands, in order to not be discovered?
Yes, unless vamp blood can make them disappear.

2. With her blood, will Spade and Denise always be worried about the next evil that wants to own her?
Yes, and this dilema could make for an excellent Spade and Denise second book.

3. Will Spade always have to be very careful when he bites Denise?
I would think so.

See, when you put it that way it sucks, but at least they will be together for a loong time.

I do not believe so. One of the others on this post mentioned that people don't really know what makes red dragon so I don't think they'd see her tats and think anything unusual especially since they were altered by the demonologists.

I don't believe they will have to worry about this as well. Spade is a powerful master vampire who is backed by Ian, Bones and Mercheres...if people tried to harm Denise they would be killed because she is now Spades wife in Vampire society. Who would want to forge war over her knowing that they would get killed...of course like someone said earlier that would make for a good second book!

I do agree with this but he loves her so much that I don't think he will ever lose his head to where he will harm her. Like the steamy scene where he bit her several times, he never drank her blood and on top of that it didn't make his experience of them being together less special.

I thought she wore the gloves because her hands changed? Didn't she wear bracelets to cover the brands? Also, I think that perhaps Spade could build up a resistance over time to the drug in Denise's blood?
