It can be months while we wait-he's on the transplant list-staying with us so he can be a few hrs from the hospital.

Thanks, Cpb. Mine is going very well. My girls and I saw the Katy Perry Concert Movie yeterday. It was very good, much better than I thought. Good infor on trying to make it in the entertainment business and mixing stardom with a new marriage. Great after movie conversation. Today I am planning a trip to Home Depot and the fabric store to recover kitchen chairs later this morning. Going to Home Depot always brings out my happy dance. I hope to cap the weekend off with steaks, asparagus, wine and a new episode of Trueblood.
Munchin, sending out prayers your family's way. I hope your BIL's name is put on the doner list. House guests even family ones especially family ones can be very entertaining and laugh out loud stories later. Sending smooth sailing that way for you too. Enjoy the day.

thanks guys- he has been listed now we are waiting
we are sure hoping he gets the call for an available matching organ !
when the call comes that a matching organ is available, one of us will go with him to UPMC and when they determine that they are going to go ahead and implant- take him into surgery, my sis will get on a plane in iowa and fly into pitts. we plan for he and my sis to stay with my brother and family in pittsburgh when he is first released after the surgery- he will have several appointments a week. then after about a month, they will move back in with us since he will have 1 appointment a week till he is released to return to iowa.
now he cares for himself and drives his car etc. but i still feel bad if we go somewhere on our own without him, but we need privacy too.

On behalf of ShirleyJo, I wanted the members to know her mother died unexpectedly this afternoon. Her health wasn't the best, but this was a shock. Please keep her in your thoughts.
