I agree - vampire tears looks very promising.

I saw a drink tonight that looked fantastic but I was driving (hubby's bday - known from now on as Corona night), so it was a no go. A Key Lime made with vanilla vodka, lime juice and pineapple juice. Mmmmm...

ooh twin, sounds yummy! You should also try a pineapple upside down martini. Vanilla vodka, pineapple juice and grenadine. Pour in shaker filled with ice and strain into glass. YUM :)

Wont - thanks for posting mun's drinks - she always has some good ones!

kyatty - I just had the pineapple upside down martini and it was really good although I can't remember where I had it - most likely a function of my faulty memory rather then too much alcohol since I only had one :?

cpb - At the bar downstairs from my work (I work over a restaurant/bar) they have a drink called the Mar-Timmy which is a Key Lime Martini named after the bar-tender that created it here...We love them and Wednesday nights are half-price martini night - so if anyone is ever looking for me on a Wednesday night you now know where I am :shifty:

We received a bottle of black vodka for a house-warming gift (a husband gave it who came without his wife ;-)). Needless to say, we have never even cracked the seal on the puppy. Any creative ideas as to how to use it? I figure Halloween is the perfect time to try. I am thinking a colored beverage and maybe a floater of the black vodka?

I checked out some cocktails for Black Vodka, most of them involve "floating the blavod" and here they are.
The Black Widow
•2 oz Blavod vodka
•3 oz cranberry juice
Preparation:
1.Pour the cranberry juice into a highball glass filled with ice.
2.Float the Blavod on top.

The October Screwdriver
Ingredients:
•3 oz Blavod vodka
•3 oz orange juice
Preparation:
1.Pour the orange juice into a collins glass filled with ice.
2.Slowly float the Blavod on top.

The Black and Gold (sure to leave you hung over the next morning)
Ingredients:
•2 oz Blavod vodka
•1 oz Goldschlager
Preparation:
1.Pour the Blavod into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
2.Shake well.
3.Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
4.Top with Goldschlager.
All I want is a warm bed, a kind word and UNLIMITED POWER!
