It's the water in the juice that freezes. Don't think I'll be able to try them this weekend cause I may have to work. Boo!

Yeah, you noticed there isn't A LOT of vodka. Probably why. If anyone tries them, let me know!

In honor of Harry Potter, here is a drink I found in one of my town newspaper fliers. I haven't tried this drink, but I do love TyKU on the rocks.

The Goblet of Fire
Drink Type: Martini
2 oz Ty KU premium liqueur*
1 oz Kahlua coffee liqueur
1 ½ oz cream
1 oz Bacardi 151
Cinnamon

Shake and strain Ty KU and Kahlua into martini glass. Over bar spoon, pour cream to float on top. Over cream, float Bacardi 151. Light Bacardi 151 with match. As flame burns, sprinkle cinnamon over flame. Clap hands over flames to put out. Stir and serve.

*Ty KU is a sake-based all natural Asian Liqueur with 20 plus ingredients: pomegranate, Asian pear (hangover remedy), honeydew, yuzu (twice Vitamin C of oranges), plum, fuji apple, white cranberry, and oolong and green teas.
How about I pour what’s in this glass on your skin and lick it off. You pick which part.”-Cat

I'm kicking myself in the teeth. At the beach last week - our hotel had a bar on the beach. I'm not a regular drinker by any stretch of the imagination but on occasion, I will have A (check that - singular) drink. Last week - I had two  . Ocean Potion at the Tiki Bar in Carolina Beach, NC. And God bless him, the bartender was a Red Sox fan and we commisserated over Papi and Gonzo during the Home Run Derby. He gave me the recipe, which got slipped in the beach bag and I can not find it now! ARGH! So, some stupid seagull probably has my recipe now. As soon as I can find a close replica, I'll post it here. Frosties, it was so light on the alcohol and heavy on the fruit juice - perfect for a blazing hot summer drink.

Edit: I found it! Woohoo! Drum roll please - here, for your consumption pleasure, is the recipe for the Tiki Bar Ocean Potion

1/2 oz Stoli Vanilla
1/2 oz Malibu
1/2 oz Melone
Fill glass with equal parts Sour & pineapple. Shake well. Pint glass.

Garnish with pineapple and cherry.

Looking through drink recipes recently, and came across the most delicious warm-you-up drink I've ever had.

1 mug hot chocolate, however you usually make it
Add 1 1/2 oz Malibu Coconut rum

Sounds gross, tastes like a mounds bar in a cup. Will definitely be having this all winter long.

Also, recently tried Captain Morgan and Coke. My new favorite!

With the weather getting cooler, here are a couple warm up drinks:

Cinnamon Toast
11/4 oz. Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum
6 oz. hot apple cider
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
Take a mug and rim it with cinnamon and sugar. Add hot apple cider and spiced rum.

And my absolute favorite warm up drink:

Blueberry Tea
1 oz amaretto almond liqueur
1 oz Grand Marnier® orange liqueur
Tea (I use oolong tea)

Mix Amaretto and Grand Marnier in a brandy snifter ( I heat my in the microwave) or glass. Add hot tea to taste (I always have the hot tea in a cup on the side).
How about I pour what’s in this glass on your skin and lick it off. You pick which part.”-Cat

This watermelon cocktail is a nice refreshing way to stay cool during the heatwave. :happy-sunny: For a nonalcoholic version, skip the tequila and add a little water to help blend the mixture.

Watermelon Tequila Cocktail

Ingredients:
1 seedless watermelon (about 6 lbs)
3/4 cup lemon juice
2 cups silver (also called blanco) tequila

Preparation
1. Cut melon into chunks and discard rind. Purée chunks in batches in a food processor. Pour mixture through a strainer into a bowl. Pour 4 cups into another bowl; whisk in lemon juice. Save any remaining watermelon juice for another use. Pour juice mixture into 4 ice cube trays and freeze until firm, at least 3 hours or overnight.

2. Make drinks: Whirl half the watermelon cubes in a food processor until broken up, then add 1 cup tequila and whirl until blended. Pour into a pitcher and repeat with remaining ingredients.
