For those of you who have read both of Nalini's series, do you have a preference?

Psy-Changling or Guild Hunter?

I like them both, but I would read Guild Hunter again and again, oh and again

I have book one of the psy-changeling and a couple I picked up at Borders that are out of order. I can't say anything about them because they are on the TBR mountain. But the Guild Hunter series is phenomenal. Raphael is a hard sell because in book one, he is completely ominous. You just don't know what to think about him because he's scary as hell. But when I finished the book, I was on Nalini's website trying to find out when two would be released. Archangel's Blade is next up in the Guild Hunter series. I would say to start with those because as of right now, there are only three out (Blade is four). I do believe there are maybe 10 in the psy-changeling line up. But Nalini's writing is outstanding and the GH's will give you such a good taste of her abilities.

Thanks for the insight cpb and DG. I've actually already started the first Psy-changling book. Still getting use to it.

Hey there Eng, look at me, trying to read something besides...Image

I read both series and I love them both for different reasons. I've reread them several times each. I think they are so different that you really can't compare them. It would be like trying to decide between J's Cat & Bones and her werewolf or angel story. You love them all but for different reasons.

Just checked out Nalini's blog. She has a title and release date for Psy/Changeling 11. Tangle of Need is due to be released May 29, 2012

Hard choice, wont! Both series are so good, but if I had to pick a favorite, I'd go with Psy/Changeling. :D

How are you liking it wont? I love these books. I started with the Guild series simply because I stumbled across it first but cannot choose which one I like better. I will say that I was impressed with the psy/changling series in that I just read all of them this year, pretty much all in a row and they never got stale. I have read a few other series before and after a few of the books, I needed a break and read a few other things, then went back to finish. Not with these - read them all the way through Kiss of Snow and was ready for more!

Sigh. I don't mean to be such a drag. I've almost finished Slave to Sensation. Less than twenty pages to go. (I peeked at the ending, so it's not a surprise.) I have to say I would give it a 6 out of 10. I already have the second and third books, and I have Kiss of Snow. I bought it because I went to Nalini's signing here. Also, I bought the first Guild Hunter book for my Nook. Some of the Psy action; all the descriptions of their abilities and the PsyNet was a little overwhelming, but not so bad as to make me want to stop reading. I think one of the things I didn't like was the world building concerning Sascha. Her separation away from the Psy world and her recognition of her differences came about too quickly. From birth practically they were programmed to be robots, no feeling, no emotions. I would have expected more time spent on this part of the story. And on Lucas' story as well. The book didn't seem to acknowledge what a big deal it was that she was going through this change. Either away from her race or into a relationship. I will start Visions of Heat today.

I know there are several books out already in the Psy/Changling series. Can anyone tell me if one of them focus on Clay or Dorian? 8-)

Yes, they both have their stories :D
I don't remember exactly which ones, somewhere in the middle
Clay's is sooner, Dorian's a bit more later
