Does anyone know if there is an audio version, and if it will be out the same day? My neck is messed up and I can hardly read even with my iPad or kindle.

Also separate topic but have there been discussions of the audio versions? The major complaint on audible is the voice and accent for bones.

Welcome OldLady1,
According to Jeaniene, "Yes, Tavia will narrate Once Burned and the audio book should release the same day as the paperback/ebook." I have not seen it advertised as of yet though. You may want to check with Harper Collins.

There is a thread for audiobooks and the narrator, Tavia Gilbert, is a member here. :D

Thanks so much for the info! What great news for me. All this waiting and then I began to worry I wouldn't be able to get it immediately. tavia is one of the top narrators. Only the best can do multiple opposite sex voices while keeping personality, age and ethnicity as she does, IMHO. Even very good ones at times tend to make a thirty yr old sound 80 years old. My beloved georgette heyer books had a few readers do that.

Hi everyone!

One of the members from Gotta Have Paranormal with a Kick (Goodreads Group) found this and posted it on the Once Burned thread, looks like Amazon had made an entry for Night Prince # 2 (or 10 as it appears on the title): Twice Tempted: A Night Prince Novel: 10 [Kindle Edition]. Is this for real? The book can be pre-order, it has a release date of March 19, 2013.

As far as we know, the title hasn't been finalized for Dark Prince #2. It could very well be the title, but that hasn't come from J or Avon Books. :)

I have yet another question...does the author make a different amount of profit depending on the format of a book I buy? I assume hardcover is more than paperback, but how does an e-book compare to an audiobook? It appears when I google this that an e-book offers a higher profit than an audiobook, PB or hardcover but then the price of an ebook is often much lower than an audiobook that I am unsure which is best. I'd like to support the author if I am debating the format.

There are a couple of books coming up (g) where I am considering a second physical or e-book copy. I have come to believe that we process an audiobook and a written copy with a different part of the brain, and the experience is different enough to make me want a written copy too, even if I have to be careful trying to read it. sigh.

OldLady1, each author contract is going to be set up differently. If you are asking J about which format she would prefer you to buy, you may want to pose the question in the Questions thread and she can clarify her position. :)

as I now hit my countdown, I wanted to let everyone interested know that Audible lists Once Burned under Coming Soon, with June 26th as the arrival date. So all of us can enjoy our new book at the same time.

Re: Once Burned Quote of the Day

Postby Soireb » 25 Jun 2012, 10:14

I have a question, if I ordered the book as Kindle through Amazon, I know that they deliver at midnight, but who's midnight? Mine? Theirs? If theirs, what time zone? I'm in Puerto Rico, so my time zone is GMT -4. This day is going to feel like is crawling, right... *sight*

I have pre-ordered kindle books before, but so far I haven't actually waited for them. I usually just check them the morning after or when I remember. But I know me, I won't be able to wait until tomorrow ^.^
