Hey Jeaniene, I just read your post at live journal! (((CLAPPING))) You have made my day! Please give Nancy my thanks too! :D

I have to admit, I've emailed your publisher a few times asking "when" the audiobooks would be coming....the reply was always.."we have no plans for an audiobook in the forseeable future".....

I think the publisher may be regretting that decision b/c I know a dozen friends who will buy those audiobooks when they're released...and I'm sure that most, if not, all your fans will want the audiobooks -
so just what was your publisher thinking...(or not thinking in this case!) ;)

*snort* That's the same reply I got when I asked for them. Happy to have my rights back and to have found a publisher for the audio books!

As much as I love Jeaniene's books I'll have to admit that audio is one format I won't buy them in. I'll go ebooks because that allows me to take along a lot of books when I travel, but for some reason every single audio book I have ever heard the reader's voice irritates the s%^t out of me.

Congrats on the audio books Jeaniene! :D
I personally love the paperback books rather than audio or ebooks (although I do read ebooks) because I love the feel of the book in my hands it just takes be back to memories of when I was younger and reading books in the library, on the school bus, and any chance I got. :geek:

Thank you! Someone else shares my opinion. I'm glad there is the medium so those who want to can use it but the voice never matched what's in my head or I find some annoyance in their voice lol!

But at least it's there for those who do enjoy them. Confrats on your victory Jeaneniene!

I was a little hesistant with audiobooks too at first. But I travel in my car for work and music and talk radio becomes annoying after a while, so I love to escape with my favorite books....... but I found out that reading while driving was very dangerous (HA!) so the audiobooks work great for me.

I won't listen to a new book on audio...I need the visuals in my head first when I read it..........but I will re-read (via my ears) my favorite books while I am driving or cleaning or walking the dog etc.

however, you need a really good narrator, no matter how well the book is written if the narrator is not up to par, then the audio book will not be either.....I will not mention titles, but there are some really great narrators out there and unfortunately, some monotone narrators too. ugh!

When Jeaniene finds an awesome narrator for Cat and Bones, I just may need to pullover to the shoulder of the road when I get to CH32 - book 2! WHEW!!! :o

Amen to that!! If it's a really good narrator who puts the feelings into their voice and not just reads I don't think I could take having that chapter read into my ears. Hearing that just might send me searching for my husband.

LOL me too! I might get the audio book for my husband since he drives a lot for work, if there is a really good narrator. I hope the narrator is a woman because it would sound kinda weird if a guy started talking for Cat, hmm maybe they can get James Marsters to do Bones's Voice!!!! :D :D :D I would love it if he did since Spike is one of my alltime favorite vamps. (James Marsters does the Dresden files audio books)

oh - james would be great. and they can have both female and male narrators for anaudio book too. I've heard it with another author and it really worked for her audiobooks.
