The Audible reviews reveal that some people love the performance and some people HATE it, and as an audiobook listener, as well as narrator, I can identify with the passionate response. There are reader performances I adore and those I don't. Of course, I'm delighted when a listener feels I've nailed the intention of the author and voiced the characters in a way they love. I am beginning work on First Drop of Crimson next week, and then will pick back up with Cat and Bones in At Grave's End soon after. Thanks so much for listening!

Hi Tavia, so nice to meet you! Thanks for stopping by the forum. I'm very excited to hear that you'll be working on all the books. I hadn't been told that before.

Re-"The Audible reviews reveal that some people love the performance and some people HATE it". I get the same reaction on all my books once they're released. When someone figures out the secret to make everyone love what they do, I'll be first in line to buy it. Until then, we'll both just do our best and let the chips fall where they may :).

Thanks again!

Oh, it's lovely, Jeaniene, to connect with you here! I'm so glad you're excited that I'm working on the series of books. Always nice to have the support of the author, and not something I take for granted.

I've been reading and prepping all the books. I was just in New York for the annual audiobook awards ceremony, and so I had time on my flight and then on subways and in transit to read First Drop of Crimson. What a fun spin-off series!

I love the passion of your fans. Very exciting to know that people love the world you create for them!

This is GREAT news to me! I wanted FDOC's audiobook to come out sooner, so yeay! Also that means you already finish narrating One Foot in the Grave! ^_^ :D :D

Thanks so much! So glad you like the way she turned out. This weekend I'll be developing character voices for some new characters...so listen for those!

No offense to anybody that prefers them...I've never tried an audiobook and I'm really not interested in it. I would rather pay the publishers price to buy the paper so I can read it faster and able to skip to the parts I like. I also absorb more when I read something myself than to have it read to me. I would get easily distracted by something else (like the TV).

I prefer printed books as well for my own personal reading, but I had SO many people emailing me saying they wished my books were on audio (before I had the rights to them, so I felt bad but couldn't do anything to make it happen) that I know there's a big readership for them. Some people have poor vision or no vision. Some like to listen to books on long car rides. Some simply prefer audio format over e-format and printed books. For all those who prefer audio books for whatever reason, I'm thrilled that my series will be available in that format :).
