In FDOC, when Bones first went to confront Spade about Denise, how in the world did Bones manage to convince Cat not to come with him? I mean, I just can not see Cat calmly agreeing to let Bones handel Spade, when there is a possibility that her best friend is being held aginst her will. Has Cat cooled off? Been replaced by aliens? Or has Bones just gotten more ... persuasive . Any how, I'm interested to see what you think. (And yes, mondo obsessive nerds like me do actually care about these types of things ... TeeHee)

Cat didn't calmly agree. Bones told Spade he had to force Cat to not accompany him to check on Spade. (p240) He said Cat thought Denise was in trouble, which of course was true. Who knows what he said, but, it seemed clear he was protecting Cat and somehow convinced her to wait for his call.

I have to agree it must have been some major talking/action on Bones part. I didn't catch that on the first run but that is a very good point.

Didn't you guys find it terribly annoying how they both kept saying the *had* to keep Bones in the dark about what was going on? I sort of got the why, but one time mentioning it would have been enough. I kept rolling my eyes whenever they mentioned it.

I am seeing some chains or some form of tether being involved. Or another chapter 32 where her lovedher into oblivion. Outside of that, no matter how much of a smooth talker he is, it wasn't gonna happen
