I liked Vlad. Furthermore, I liked when all the characters came together in At Grave's End. It was very interesting and funny. I like they can read each other's thoughts also. I hope you use them all together like you did before in future books. Vlad, Charles, Bones, Cat, Ian, Annette, Justina, Rodney, Tate. Go for the gold on this one.

Agreed with everyone here - I really liked the fresh take on the character (even better than Buffy's Dracula, and that's nearly blasphemy for me  ), and I love his relationship with Cat. I hope they become good friends. :)

I have never really been a dracula fan but then again I have never read anything about him. But I did like him in the book more then I thought I would. If Bones have not come back I could see Cat slowly starting for fall for him after he shared some personal stuff about his wife. I see the two actually becoming good friends because in many ways he's like Bones which is why they can't get along.

I loved Vlad! I really wasn't even associating him with Dracula while reading the book - not sure why. I hope he comes back in future books. I always like a fresh take on Dracula. :)

I think that's because Jeaniene rites him in such a way that he's his own character. He has the same history as 'Dracula' but that's pretty much where the similarities end. And that's one of the things I love (about Jeaniene's writing/books), that there can be such a fresh and new take on an old legend and she can change it just so and have a new character entirely.

I totally agree with you guys, to me Vlad is Vlad, and not the dreaded (insert bad vampire accent here) Dracula. lol i cannot wait to see more of him.

The correct spelling is Vlad Tepes. "Tepesh" is used just to give people who don't speak romanian, a clue on how to pronounce it, although the correct one would be "Tzepesh".

Dragon you are going to be a really handy person!! I've always wondered just exactly how it was pronounced but couldn't find a definite answer.
I never argue with anyone with as many sharp teeth as you've got.
