My pre-ordered copy was not delivered today .

I just visited my local B&N. I showed great restraint in not slapping the clerk on the head.

Knowing the fluidity of placement of Jeaniene's books, I asked at the information desk what section it was in. I silently added "this time." She could not find the book on her computer. I spelled the name. Then I suggested she check under the author. Nope, couldn't find it. I spelled Jeaniene's name. I also mentioned she had at least eight or more books out, had been on the bestseller list. I was so good, I just stared.

Hey, she found it, but said they didn't have any. I asked her what section if they did have some. I visited that section and lo and behold, there was Once Burned! I wasn't happy there was only one, but, I bought it. I was going to show it to the info clerk but she was gone.

Sigh.

Ha, Wont, I feel your pain. I, too, have had many an argument with my local B&N. They look at you like you're nuts if they don't know what book you want, then act all patronizing while they look it up. I want to say, "here, give me that computer, I can probably find it faster."
Its why I switched to e-books.

I have all afternoon to spend with Vlad!!! I can't wait! I've even stayed away from spoilers for the first time ever!


OK I am editing this 7 hours later...i don't want to get for a double post!

Anyway, I am done and I think this is one of my favorites from Jeaniene. I'll hit the spoilers thread for reasons why but generally I loves that I felt the story really moved along and it was focused more on the couple than the bad guy. I'm not really big into pages and pages of fights. There was just enough but it was really Vlad and Lelia's story!
