Hey guys,
I saw someone on the goodreads chat the other night ask what caused the dislike between Bones and Vlad. I remembered J answering that question on the CH threads once upon a time:

Q: "Are we gonna learn sometime why Bones and Vlad don't like each other?? Is it relevant to the story line??"
There's no specific example that would be relevant to the story, but in book three and four, Vlad and Bones both hinted that their similarities are one of the reasons why they rub each other the wrong way. They're both powerful, ruthless, loyal Master vampires who operate under their own moral code without much care as to what anyone else thinks of it. Clashing is inevitable between them, but they also both respect each other...most of the time.

Re-other characters. Thus far, Cat, Bones, Mencheres, and Kira have popped up in Once Burned. I admit to giggling the whole time I wrote a scene with Bones and Leila, but I'm not sure it will stay. If it kills pacing, out it goes, but it'll end up as a deleted scene on the forum. Thus far, Syd is the only one to get a peek at what I've written of Once Burned, and because I am Evil, I cut off her portion right as the sex scene started.
